Strategy

Gottex’s long-term strategy and ambition is to become an institutional multi-asset manager with a strong core in the alternative sector and fund of funds. We are focused on building our core market neutral business, which we believe is an excellent diversifier of exposure for investors exposed to equities, bonds or even single hedge funds. In addition, Gottex wants to broaden its directional fund of fund offerings, with both product lines aiming at maximising risk-adjusted returns and leveraging Gottex’s core competencies. We believe that a comprehensive range of fund of funds products when combined with the Gottex Solutions Services range of risk management services and tools will allow us to provide superior customised investment solutions to an institutional client base.

Alongside our fund of fund business and direct investment funds, Gottex aims to expand into other major business areas, namely:

• The multi-asset strategies investment services, an endowment style strategy which is based on the investment principles of the “super endowments” in North America.
• The hedge fund investing-related solutions and services through Gottex Solutions Services.

The Group aims to generate a substantial amount of revenues from these new growth areas over the next three to four years time. In addition, we believe there are opportunities created by the consolidation of the fund of funds industry, increased requirements from institutions and growing regulation which will allow Gottex to absorb and integrate smaller and mid-sized firms with complementary products or looking for an institutional platform.
